So far we have used restaurants that are willing to give separate
(couple) checks to keep things simple. So each host will need to
ask that question to the restaurant they are choosing, unless they
can figure a way to simplify one check for all.
Using a restaurant that has a more private space for us gives us a
way to communicate, introduce new guests and play games that get us
better acquainted. Timbuktu last time turned out to be too noisy
(from the music) and we were not in a private enough area to play
get-acquainted games like we did first time at Blue Pete's. Getting
out on the boardwalk was nice, though!
Things our group may need to discuss are:
Menu price range preferred
Time: (I discovered in calling that some spouses don't get home
from work early enough to join us at 6:00 p.m. So far we have met at
6 each time, but at Timbuktu it was to take advantage of early bird
specials and their lower prices. Most restaurants' early bird specials are
over AT 6 p.m.
Willingness to meet on Sat. nights occasionally to include
spouses who work out of town during the week
Hope the next host can use the above info I learned from taking a
turn at hosting.
Also, contacting the restaurant and reserving the room/space at
least two weeks before the date might be safer than waiting till the
last moment and being disappointed that they are booked.

I loved the 'House Show'....and the information on the
bottom, even the automatic response to the Host/Hostess for the
month.

I didn't write down the
future hosts but it looked like they had people up to Sep or Oct.

If you would please send me the future hosts, I will
update the web page.
I enjoyed our first diner. It was a nice restaurants and the
music was very good. But I look for a knob to turn down the sound.
Can not do that with a live horn player. I guess we all learn a little
there.
The time on the boardwalk was very nice.
